We are Petrič winery with a long tradition dating back to 1778. It has been handed down from generation to generation, and we have thus acquired a great deal of wine-growing experience from our ancestors. We are also following the development of a new, more environmentally friendly grape-growing process. Our aim is to produce wines as naturally as possible. I am Urban Petrič and I am an eighth generation winemaker. We are in the upper Vipava Valley, in the picturesque village of Slap, awarded with the most beautiful old village centre in Slovenia and only two kilometres from Vipava. The microclimate of Vipava is created by the Mediterranean and Alpine microclimates, which give the wine its special character, especially the indigenous varieties of pineapple and green.
