ŠtokWenzel // Reviving the heritage of winemaking Living among the vineyards of Ritoznoj, but without a vineyard, has connected us to winemaking in a unique way. The Wenzel family lives among the centuries-old walls of the imposing Baroque farmhouse called ŠTOK, once a vineyard estate. From old discarded wine barrels, barrique barrels and bottles, the design products of the ŠtokWenzel brand are born. The staves and other parts of the discarded barrels, which have been given a unique colour and texture by decades of wine kisses, come to life again as lighting, furniture, utilitarian objects or fashion accessories. Master Class. This year's holders will be Assoc. prof. Dr Klemen Lisjak and doc. Dr Guillaume Antalick. They will be joined by a guest, Univ. Prof. DI Dr. Tech. Erich Leitner from the University of Graz, Austria. At this year's Master Class, we will be tasting and comparing this year's top-rated festival sauvignons, a French sauvignon from the Loire, a New Zealand sauvignon and an Austrian sauvignon. From a scientific and technical point of view, we will compare the aromatic composition of this aromatic variety. We will also discuss the modern winemaking technologies that are being applied to the vinification of sauvignons.
