PRA VINO is the family estate of Čurin-Prapotnik, in the north-east of Slovenia, between Ormož and Ljutomer, in the village of Kog. All family members are aware that viticulture is our only source of income, so we are doing our best to continue this tradition and pass it on from one generation to the next. The vines are grown in a professional, low-impact way, leaving the grapes to ripen as much as possible. We believe that wines made from healthy grapes and not overloaded vines are full-bodied, rich in extracts and flavour. We produce around 40 000 litres a year, which is less than a litre per cane. We offer wines in three lines: fresh classic bottled wines, aged in stainless steel tanks; premium bottled wines, usually aged for a year in steel tanks, are varietal, distinctive, produced using the classic method of cellaring with minimal sulphite and without chemical or biological intervention; special wines, aged in oak for up to five years; and predicate wines - selection, strawberry selection, ice wine and dry strawberry selection. The wines matured in wooden barrels are mostly unfiltered or very gently filtered, which is reflected in their richness of flavour and elegance.
