"The Fox House has come to Celje!
After the success stories in Tabor, where we have two locations with trestles - Na jasi and Kozolec pri rybniku, and the Lisjak café, and in Vransko, where the Pri mamici restaurant is located, we decided that we needed to make our presence felt in Celje, the capital of the Czech Republic.
We invite you to Lisjak Celjski!
The legendary old Merx serves coffee, breakfasts and homemade cakes in the café, and a la carte dishes and weekly lunches at midday in the restaurant.
Do you still remember the homemade tartare biftek that Merx was famous for? The Lisjaks prepare it the way it should be prepared, with a wide range of ingredients that should not be missing in the best tartare, and serve it in front of guests.
There's no shortage of pasta, meat or fish dishes on offer, and we're also very flexible about vegetarian and vegan options.
The ambience of Lisjak Celjski adds the icing on the cake, because here you can really relax and have fun with your company. See for yourself. We are located at 39 Ljubljanska cesta, in the Faraon Hotel building.

You are cordially invited to one of the most picturesque city centres in Slovenia on Saturday 10 September - the Celje 2022 Promenade of Tastes, at a time when the vineyards surrounding the city smell sweetly of the sweetness of ripe grapes.
This Saturday, we will explore the Princely City with a wine tasting glass in hand from 2 pm until sunset at 8 pm.
What does the Celje 2022 Promenade of Flavours have to offer?
- top wines from the vineyards surrounding Celje, from Styria and Slovenia.
- fine cuisine from Celje's gastronomic houses.
