Wine Krajnc "The wine-growing tradition in Lahonščak dates back to the 18th century, when the owners of the Dornau Baroque manor, the Pongratz family, planted vines here. Our family has owned the southern part of the hill for several generations. We started winemaking as our main activity in 1988. The wines produced on the four hectares of vineyard (20 000 vines) that we own today are matured in a cellar that was built in the middle of the vineyard in 1888. The top red wines are aged in oak barrels; since the construction of the new cellar, the white wines have been aged in steel tanks, where fermentation is controlled and managed at a controlled temperature. https://www.ovinu.si/vinar/146/Vino-Krajnc

Master Class. This year's lecturers will be Associate Prof. Dr. Klemen Lisjak and Associate Prof. Dr. Guillaume Antalick. They will be joined by a guest, Univ. Prof. DI Dr techn. Prof. Erich Leitner from the University of Graz, Austria. At this year's Master Class, we will taste and compare this year's top-rated festival sauvignons, the French from the Loire, the New Zealand and the Austrian. From a scientific and technical point of view, we will compare the aromatic composition of this aromatic variety. We will also discuss the modern winemaking technologies that are being applied to the vinification of sauvignons.
